Join us at the Fred Archibald Audubon Sanctuary in New Market for a Bob Schaefer Nature Walk Series, sponsored by the Audubon Society of Central Maryland. We'll see wintering birds and possibly some very early spring migrants. Buds will be swelling waiting for warm weather. The sanctuary's meadows and forests offer habitats for a range of bird species and other wildlife.
 
Children and friends of all ages welcome. Meet at 9 a.m. at the entrance to the sanctuary, which is on the east side of Boyer's Mill Road, one mile north of Rte. 144 in New Market. Wear hiking boots or other waterproof footwear and clothing appropriate for the predicted weather. Bring binoculars or borrow a pair of ours! No restroom facilities. The walk will be cancelled in the event of extreme weather or deep snow.
