ASCM Projects: You Can Help

The Audubon Society of Central Maryland maintains more than 250 acres of sanctuary habitat for birds and other wildlife in Frederick County. There are always important ongoing and planned projects related to the maintenance and improvement of these sanctuary facilities. Many of these projects offer excellent opportunities for Eagle Scout and similar community service organization projects.

To support the sanctuaries and other ASCM educational efforts, we conduct two bird seed sales each Fall and Winter. We also sponsor numerous seminars and field activities throughout the year to foster environmental awareness in the community.

To get more detail on these projects and get information on how you can help foster wildlife habitat in Central Maryland, please contact Bill Becraft, the ASCM Sanctuary Manager.
