Projects at Audrey Carroll Sanctuary

1. Plant ferns, flowers, grasses, vines in gardens near Gatehouse
2. Repair Driveway Trail and replace some gravel
3. Add storm water control systems to Driveway Trail
4. Plant additional trees in front buffer area
5. Build and site Owl nest boxes
6. Monitor Bat Colony and take data for Citizen Science

More difficult projects:

7. Do invasive plant control projects
8. Remodel bathroom wall and floor in Gatehouse
9. Construct new Deck for Gatehouse; joist structure//floor and rails
10. Plant long strips of trees along right-side buffer
11. Dig out old underground heating oil tank near Gatehouse
12. Build elevated wetland trail


Projects at Fred Archibald Sanctuary

New Market, MD 21774

1. Plant ferns, flowers, grasses, vines in gardens near Entrance
2. Build, site and install Kestrel and/or Owl nestboxes
3. Remove old fence wire (project assigned)
4. De-vine trees in stream bottom (project assigned)
5. Mark boundary lines in woods with blue tree paint

More difficult projects:

6. Create new entrance driveway with gravel
7. Create small parking area with gravel
8. Build 6 trail benches and install with wood chips
9. Make wooden, routed Entrance Sign and mount on Gate
10. Install rail fencing along left-side field
11. Do invasive plant control projects
12. Purchase and install compost toilet near Pavilion
